Today marks the one-year anniversary of the last time Feedbro was updated. Feedbro is a popular RSS reader that works within browsers like Chrome and Firefox.

It's currently undergoing a rewrite because it doesn’t adhere to Google's best practices for extensions. Any new release will likely look and function quite differently from previous versions.

Feedbro stopped supporting X a while ago for reasons that are probably familiar to most users. There was a last-ditch effort to get it working again using Google News, but even that solution didn’t last long.

Why a feed reader can't get X feeds to work as long as the browser is logged into that social network, I don't know. It seems it could just access the link, scrape the data, and voilà.

That said, I’m not much of a coder, so who knows how complex the implementation would actually be. It’s unfortunate there’s no chance of X enabling its feeds again.

Last night, I had a dream that we saw a deer in our backyard. The thing is, we used to see upwards of five of them there just about every day. Then, a few months ago, they stopped coming out of the woods.

Did they move on? Were they hunted?

We don’t know. Recently, we haven’t seen them from the window, and the motion camera has only been capturing geese and raccoons.

I suppose there’s a chance the deer are still back there, as this has happened once before. They vanished for a few months, and then returned. It doesn’t feel like they’re back there, though, and honestly, how could they resist the temptation of tasty corn? They know they have a spot back there to eat from.

I don’t know—maybe my dream was precognitive, and we’ll soon be visited by those majestic animals again. Or perhaps it was just a dream showing me what I wish would happen.

According to the Jacksonville Florida Times-Union, one may have been.

Was that a UFO above this Florida town Saturday? Shape-shifting object has some wondering

A shape-shifting, slowly turning object hovered high above Green Cove Springs on Saturday afternoon, leaving many to speculate about it.

The morphing, black object was high above just west of U.S. 17 and south of County Road 315, slowly heading south. It made no noise and was at least a few hundred feet off the ground.

At times the shape was like a spacecraft while it also looked like a turtle shell, a ball inside with white outline that almost looked like a mouth and teeth.

So what was the object above Green Cove Springs?

Naval Air Station Jacksonville (NAS Jax) announced recently that it would be conducting training exercises beginning Saturday, March 22. The facility is about 15 miles north of where the object was floating above the Winn-Dixie in Green Cove Springs, a few blocks west of the St. Johns River.

NAS Jax advised nearby residents that there would be an "increase in aircraft activity and noise." However, the object hovering above Green Cove made no noise that could be heard from the ground.

The small black speck was a morphing, moving object observed over Green Cove Springs, Florida, about 4 p.m. March 22, 2025. It's shown here hovering above the Winn-Dixie just west of U.S. 17 and south of County Road 315, heading south. The object made no noise.

The truth is out there, or maybe, it's in Green Cove Springs, anyway :)

My dad picked me up a vintage Danelectro DM25 amplifier. I must admit, I was a little scared to turn it on because it's so old, but it fired right up.

It is not without its problems, however.

When I plug into any of the amp's four inputs, I can't hear the guitar unless the volume knob is all the way up. And even then, its output is at whisper levels.

That's not how a tube amp should be.

I can hear the reverb tank making noise when the amp is moved, and can hear the vibrato affecting the amp when that is turned on. But I can only just barely hear the guitar coming through.

So, I have to find someone to work on it.

I called my guitar technician, who doesn't work on amps, and he mentioned that it could be anything. If it were just the tubes, I'd buy some and be done with it. But because I don't know what the problem is, I think I'm going to get it to a proper amp repair shop before putting any more money into it.

That way, it just gets fixed, and I'm happy. And if it isn't the tubes, well, then the ones in there may still have some life left in them.

I'll update this post when all is well with the amp and let you know what precisely was wrong with it. I may also record some audio or video just to show it off—if for no other reason than for the heck of it.

Lately, I've had some days where I've felt really good. Like, abnormally so.

And, I don't know why that is.

Usually I feel sluggish and tired, which I had associated with anxiety medicine I take. I assumed it was a trade-off for not experiencing that condition.

But one day about a week ago, and today? I've never felt better. It's like the fog lifted, and allowed me to fully live.

I'm going to speak with my doctor about it next time I have an appointment, to try and figure out what exactly may be going on. For all I know, adjustments in medication may be needed.

But tomorrow? I probably won't feel this way. I'll likely be back to my drowsy self, wondering why it is I don't want to do anything.

First and foremost, thank you for visiting this site. I truly appreciate that you’ve taken the time to stop by.

This blog will be a personal one, with no particular theme or subject matter tying it all together. I’ll be sharing whatever captures my interest—whether it’s regular entries, links, quotes, or anything else I feel like putting up.

I should mention that there won’t be a set schedule for updates. Rather than adhering to a strict posting rhythm, I plan to wait until I have something I genuinely feel is worth passing along. Some weeks may be quieter than others, but my goal is to keep this space a quality one, rather than churning out content for the sake of it.

What this will ultimately look like is anyone’s guess—but doesn’t that make it all the more intriguing to follow along?

Sure it does. And if you’d like to keep up with what lurks around the corner, feel free to bookmark the site, or subscribe to its feed. I know this is only the first post, but I’m committed to doing my best to keep readers' attention.
